After having his working hours reduced, John Quincy Archibald (Denzel Washington) also receives news of a change in his health insurance policy that excludes surgery. When he learns that his son, Michael (Daniel E. Smith), has a heart condition that requires surgery, John soon takes measures into his own hands.
